| INFORMATION AND INQUIRIES |
Over the past 23 years, KCA has attempted to answer inquiries of interested persons from all across the United States, Canada and abroad. It was a large part of the Center's work to disseminate information about the Kodály concept and movement. |
We are no longer able to continue this practice. Help may be found for inquiries of a general or specific nature (teacher training opportunities, publications, research programs) by contacting the following organizations with whom KCA has had close association over the years: http://www.oake.org (Organization of American Kodály Educators)http://www.iks.hu (The International Kodály Society) http://www.kodaly-inst.hu (Zoltán Kodály Pedagogical Institute of Music Kecskemét, Hungary) http://www.kodaly.org.au (The Kodály Music Education Institute of Australia) http://www.kodalysocietyofcanada.ca (Kodály Society of Canada) Due to the intensive work and deadlines associated with the disposition of the archives, as of October, 2002, KCA can accept only inquiries pertaining to its archives. |
Another excellent and comprehensive source of
information is Zoltán Kodály, A Guide to Research, by KCA graduates
(Michael Houlahan and Philip Tacka),
1998, ISBN 0-8153-2853-2. It is published by Garland Publishing Co., which publishes
an extensive series of research guides as bibliographic guidance to the vast literature
on significant composers. The book is expensive (about $95), but should be available
in major public and university libraries. It can be ordered by e-mail or telephone.
